The status of homeopathy is under attack in the UK. Little by little, your rights and wishes as an NHS patient are being eroded. Did you know that, even though homeopathy is available on the NHS (and has been since the NHS started) if you want homeopathic treatment today under the NHS, you will have to take part in a post-code lottery, depending on which PCT you come under. If your PCT has recommended that homeopathy NOT be funded under the NHS, you will not be referred to any NHS homeopathic hospital or clinic. Why are PCTs taking this line? Well, on the ‘advice’ of some people in high-up places, who want to kill homeopathy off altogether. They say it doesn’t work, never mind that more and more people are asking for it because they can see it works!

Actually, the real reason is that homeopathy works exceptionally well, and is exceptionally cheap! But it stops doctors prescribing expensive pharmaceutical drugs, which means the drug companies profits drop. So homeopathy has to be stopped! And so does anything else that represents a threat to industry and big pharma and their profits.

Those people who delight in attacking homeopathy as being “just water” or “the placebo effect” usually end by demanding more double-blind trials of homeopathic remedies. They point to the ‘rigorous’ trials undergone by modern drugs before they are licensed, and claim this protects the public from quacks who might otherwise sell them worthless remedies.

The trouble is, the whole field of medical trials is full of deception: deception in how the trial is set up, deception in the selection of patients for the trial’, deception in the way the trials are carried out, deception in the way the results are recorded, deception in what is selected for publication (only ‘good’ results make it to publication, very often)….I could go on and on.

And now, Marcia Angell MD, a former editor of the respected publication the New England Journal of Medicine has spoken out about the quality of clinical research that is carried out nowadays:

“It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.”

The Times newspaper reports today on the numbers of people in hospital because of adverse effects from the medication they have been given. Over 95,000 people are affected in this way.

Thankfully, with homeopathy you won’t run the risk of being poisoned in this way!

Homeopathic vaccination: a resounding success in Cuba

Authorities in Cuba have successfully used a homeopathic remedy as prevention against leptospirosis, a serious, sometimes deadly disease, which is spread by rats, particularly in flooded areas. During the rainy season each autumn, when hurricanes contribute to widespread flooding, Cuba has been used to outbreaks of leptospirosis in the population, and up till now has tried to protect the population by the use of vaccination. However, this is both difficult and costly, and not available for all the population at risk from contaminated water. It was therefore decided to try a preventive treatment using homeopathic remedies and Bach Flower remedies, and these were administered in 2 doses, approximately a week apart to about 2.4 million people.

Results exceeded expectations. The number of deaths fell dramatically and cases remained at an all-time low, an outcome which was even better than that seen among the vaccinated population in previous years.

This example could be repeated for other serious epidemic diseases, and deserves to be investigated further. Read about it at:

UK schoolgirl dies after cancer vaccine

The new Cervarix vaccine (like its counterpart – Gardasil – in the US) is not without some very nasty side effects. It now appears that a 14-year-old schoolgirl has collapsed and died shortly after receiving the vaccine. Full story on the BBC website:

What is not known is how many girls have been taken ill after receiving this vaccine, nor what the long-term effects may be.
